WIP Update

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

This is really two weeks worth of changes since I never managed to post a WIP update last week. Despite all the weed pulling, I did manage to squeeze in a little bit of knitting time on the yellow socks and then once I was back in Montana I had a few days to focus on my goals.

1. Sunrise Circle – As I mentioned in my previous post, I have taken in the side seams and stitched down the facing. All it needs are the toggle buttons and I likely won’t be able to go searching for those until Saturday. My goal was to finish it by the end of September, but I feel good with what I’ve accomplished and feel that sewing the buttons on will be easy now that I have regained momentum.

2. Dragon Scale Wrap – My goal was to start this again before the end of September. I cast on yesterday and am now 4 rows below casting on the sleeve stitches. I’m happy to say that with a little extra care (a stitch marker between dragon scale repeats and noting the stitch count before and after) I am able to be sure that I decrease correctly. Yippee!

3. Riverbed Master Pattern Socks – On hold.

4. Little Girl’s Bolero – The knitting is done. It has been washed and blocked. I expect it will be dry today so I should have the buttons sewn on soon.

5. Hourglass Socks – I worked on these a bit each evening when I was in WA. The repeats are getting easier!

My goal over the next week is to finish Sunrise Circle and the Little Girl’s Bolero, and then to keep the momentum on the Dragon Scale Wrap.
